Obviously she realizes people are watcing her, so she's putting on an angelic front; then, when they turn around, she'll do some clay-flinging, and when they turn back to look at her she'll hide her dirty hands behind her back and whistle--wait, that's not angelic enough; maybe she'll just look winsome and sweet, like now. It's all an act! And it's an actress, not the character herself. ^.^

Well... she is not really Lyra, I mean, the curls, why? To me, Lyra is a brave, mischievous girl, not a cute one.
And I think she should have been older. It dosen't feel like this little kid is possessing the cleaverness of Lyra.
I guess I'll just have to get used to her, my imaginations of the chatacters are already starting to fade away.

Fortunately Harry Potter wasn't much worth reading anyway- apart from the predictable, long winded story line, the characters were shallow, unimaginative and dull and the dialogue was cheesy, cringeworthy and sexist. The film's atrocious casting, crappy dialogue and general awfulness simply compounded it.
Pan_kirjava_Isabelle- HDM is amazingly good and not worth being shoved to one side so I also will reread.

J K seems to be making them longer, and the characters are pretty flat i love how pullman has given his characters so much life and personality, you can almost believe in them as real people. And even get me started on the films, i could go forever...

It took me awhile, but she's fianlly my Lyra. Partially just because looking at all these pictures has made me lose my image of Lyra. But she looks tougher in some of the images from the cast and crew booklet. Besides-this is when she's with Mrs. Coulter. Mrs. Coulter made her dress up all frilly and do her hair pretty.

Also, the curls- In the third book it definately says something about her having curly hair. The brown eyes- I guess they could change them to blue digitally, although they probably won't. Actually, I'm just realizing now that I fit the perfect description of Lyra.

Remeber, on one of these comment pages (can't remember which one!) one of her friends posted it, so I just used it to see whether it was a fake or not and I just started chatting to her! It was definitely her. She had all her home pics taken from her webcam as her profile pic, ones that are not on the internet so it she wasn't a faker. She was really nice!!

Through her state of Innocence shall she be able to read the compass by instinct. After reading the entire trilogy, it makes me longing for my childhood life than the burden of the responsibilities for growing up. Oh well, this is how life is suppose to be.
