I dont know who any of these people are but they've cast as the voices for the Daemons. Hope that helps a little, i get all my info off imdb.com. its a really good site i recomend it :)

Adam Godley was Verucca's dad in the new (Awful) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He will be absolutley completely spot on for how I imagine Pan's voice to sound. Somewhat more mature(?), posh (ish?), inclined to berate Lyra, exactly as he does throughout the book.

The picture is amazing... Coulter's eyes have such a peculiar expression, looks like she just wants to unwrap Lyra and eat her (in a chocolate sense...), So perfect.

I'm not gonna let it get me down too much coz I think Kidman looks fantastic anyway and she will act it superbly, but I soooo imagined her playing the part with long waving black hair and full red lips, a sort of evil snow white look coz her skin is so fair and flawless. And I imagined her in sily loose and exotic looking fabrics in delicate shades of purple, blue and pink. I'm gonna have to try and draw it sometime to capture it but oooh in my mind she would look like Coulter straight from the pages. Of course with Nicole Kidman though she is beauty no matter what her hair colour/style or wardrobe is.

Indeed! I for one think it was a really dumb idea to change Iorek's voice actor. The one before was perfect, Ian McKellen's voice is just too expressive for a cold armored bear.
As for the last three chapters being moved, I don't know how I feel about it. I'm just going to wait and see how it turns out. I rather liked how The Subtle Knife began with a new character (Will of course) and our world though.

Yes, it did say in an interview that Pullman is quite laid back when it comes to slight plot changes but he stays religious to the spirit of the book and that's what really matters right? I mean, these people arn't making the film to try and ruin the books, they are trying to bring it to a larger audience. I'm sure that all the changes they have made are to the benefit of the adaptation and until we see the film (Which isn't long!!! WOOOHOO!!!) we shouldn't panic. I must say I'm not happy with some of the changes made, epecially the ending change, but I'm sure it is truly for the good of the film. We should just have faith in Pullman and the filmmakers as I'm sure they want the film to be as good as we want it to be.

If anybody is interested, they will be holding auditions for the second film soon, if you are with an acting acency you will be informed of the details, I'm not sure if they will be doing open casting calls again..
I'd really like to audition for that girl at the bottom of the tower, if anybody knows who I meen.. Lol. That girl that gives directions or somthing when Lyra and Will are going up with the subtle knife.. Haa well if anybody auditions good luck! X
