New posters focusing on characters and their daemons from The Golden Compass have been released. The posters each feature an individual character in front of a backdrop suited to them, with their daemon’s name or species below their own. These look very good, but I have a few complaints.
Moving Hester’s eyes to the front gives her an odd expression for a hare.
I would have thought that they’d give names to all the daemons, at least for the posters. Even if it’s not canon, it seems odd for John Faa’s to just read “crow”.
Although Sophonax looks lovely, I thought she was meant to be a house cat? A beautiful, all-shades-of-gold house cat, mind you, but a domestic cat all the same?
Why isn’t Kaisa pictured in Serafina’s poster? Hopefully they didn’t decide that witches weren’t going to have daemons at all… That would be weird. (Plus he was already in one of the backgrounds.)
Forgive my nitpicking. It’s what I do.
I doubt Kaisa will be left out of the film, Skye. His name is mentioned in the book The World of the Golden Compass. I’m just wondering who’s going to voice him. =/
But anyway, I love the posters. I think the Lyra one is the nicest just ’cause Pan (

I’m really happy. I also like how they really have the daemons interacting. I mean, on Asriel’s poster stelmaria has her tail wrapped around his leg. Its really well done.

i’ve found the other posters ok but these ones are really good and make me wish the movie was in cinemas already hehe.
The posters look great but it says Character posters, so where is Roger.
