Pullman raises £30,000 in Grenfell Tower charity auction
Posted on by Jaya

Following the Grenfell Tower fire in London, in which over 80 people lost their lives, Pullman joined other authors and celebrities in a charity auction to raise money for the affected residents.

For his lot, Pullman offered to name a character in Volume 2 of The Book of Dust, and this raised £32,400 after James Clements, a teacher of a pupil who died in the fire, suggested the character should be named in memory of his former pupil: Nur Huda el-Wahabi.
