New community member Queste Oscure Materie, an Italian fansite, have an exclusive interview with a technician working on The Golden Compass. He talks a little about the film’s technical aspects; “The greater part of sequences is shot on greenscreen. There are a lot of contributions on liveaction. We will use them to mix them with the digital ones. For example, the movie poster is all digital made. It was realized by a society in London.” Read more.

Not sure where to put this information so I’ll place it here. I hope that’s alright. I was surfing the web and came across this blog of an extra for someone working on The Golden Compass. He talks about the scenes that they are currently shooting and others that he’s done. It very interesting! Here is just a peek at what they are filming this week.
“Anyway, we had a great time – the Magisterial Guards get word that Daniel Craig’s character is in the town, and we go on a hunt for him – with orders to shoot to kill…”
