China have chosen their “Lyra”. An official internet survey was carried out – with over 10,000 people voting – to chose a Chinese female star who most resembles Lyra. Ella, from the Taiwanese Pop music group S.H.E., won, with Tungstar saying ,”Ella resembles Lyra the most when it comes to having an adventurous spirit.” We’re not entirely sure what’s going on here, but here’s photos of Ella apparently rejoicing at the news at a recent promotional event for the movie. Ella is a lovely person in all aspects. She is deserving of our respect in the way she deals with setbacks, uncalled- for criticisms and life in general. I am a great admirer of her.
I think that Ella is a very good pick to promote this movie. She’s an awesome person with a great personality that everyone just feel comfortable to be with. Plus she’s very family in Taiwan and of course across Asian too, so the movie will get a lot benefit from this. And because of her, I will be planning to watch this movie. Ella jaiyou!!!!

Congratulations to Ella. She deserved to be choosen as ‘Chinese Lyra’. Her voice and her adventurous spirit just fit for her.From Arthur and the Minimoys and now,The Golden Compass, her voices range in ‘unique’ tones. She brought out that quality of voice that sounds very differently. I don’t know why but i just love to hear her voice and i can say that she is definitely a good singer. By being spokeperson for this movie, i doubt that her effort paid off well. I love S.H.E and my most favourite member is Ella, of course!! Well i don’t see why people need to include negative comments on her. Is that simple if you don’t like her or even hate her, just don’t include your comment here. Ella had her first official promotion event last week in Taiwan. The crowd and media coverage is definitely encouraging. Fans were there to support her, and of course, that translated into sales figures for the box office.
I’m from Asia but not in Taiwan. But since I’ve learnt about this movie through Ella, I will definitely help to spread the word round to my other friends to support the movie. After all, Ella’s lively and witty introduction of the movie was interesting and left me wanting to know more. Who knows I might actually go pick out the books soon! She is definitely a deserving spokesperson.

Well and just incase some of you don’t know who Ella is, I would like to add that Ella is a member of S.H.E, a really popular girl band from Taiwan. Shes also an actress, and shes the female lead in shows like Hana Kimi, [hua yang shao nian shao nu], Reaching For The Stars [Zheng ming tian nu], The Rose & Magical Love. Im sure most of you would have heard of it. Shes really famous now because of her unique personality. Ella is really an angel to us fans, her kindness, doing Charity and such during her free time, & her attitude really makes us admire her. Alot of people tend to misunderstand her when they don’t know about her. That really makes me upset. I really hope that all misunderstandings will be cleared, alright? 🙂

Janet: you don’t expect the character to jump out of the book and attend the promotional events in Taiwan, do you? As far as I know, it is relatively common for Taiwanese celebrities to endorse in overseas movies. It’s a marketing strategy I guess. Don’t have to make a big deal outta it.

Ella isn’t trying to be like Lyra, she always does funny poses like that, it’s one of the reasons why we love her. She doesn’t try to look pretty or cute just for the camera, and poses to make other laugh, it really shows how unfake and playful she is. I’m glad she got chosen for this promotional activity! She my one and only favorite celebrity, so if it wasn’t for her promoting Lyra, I wouldn’t even know what it is! I LOVE YOU ELLA!!!!
