Amanda Craig from The Times has reviewed the newest installment in His Dark Materials describing it as a joy to be reunited with Pullman’s beloved characters after a less than satisfactory experience with the truncated film release this past season. “It is exuberant, intelligent fun, in a way that his previous novella, Lyra’s Oxford, was not, and the exquisite engravings by John Lawrence and small size of the book make it a joy to look at, touch and hold.” Read more.
