The Inside His Dark Materials documentary is now available to watch streaming (download with login) on Teachers’ TV. The documentary is a “celebratory tribute” to Philip Pullman and his books. It features an interview with the author himself as well as contributions from friends and former teachers. Visuals accompanying the piece include location shooting and 3D animations. You can read our review of the DVD here – it was not wholly positive, but the chance to view the documentary online should not be missed by any Sraffie.

i just saw it and i'm trembling, it was ao amazing and highlights the ideas so well. sure, some of the visuals were mediocre, but i overlaid them with my own imagination, that i'm lucky to still have and i hope to always have.

what a bad documentary. i must say i'm really disappointed.
i mean, what pullman and the bishop had to say were interesting, but the rest was boring crap just to fill in gaps. most of the time it sounded the narrator is talking about some conspiracy or something. it was also poorly edited.

    disappointing.

not a great movie but the shots of Oxford I thought were really cool. the ones from the roof where taken from to top of a church called St. Mary’s. I just went there three weeks ago and have photos that are the same as the footage.
really cool! sorry, I just had to add that comment.
