Variety is reporting that the French actress Eva Green will play Serafina Pekkala in The Golden Compass movie. Her previous films include The Dreamers and Kingdom of Heaven, whilst she will play the Bond girl Vesper Lynd in the next James Bond film, Casino Royale. Green has finalised the deal for the first His Dark Materials movie, with an option to star in two sequels, if they are made.

I mean, why roll all the books into one and miss all the crucial parts out and change the storyline and make it totally different to everything in the book? :angry: i suppose if people did make it into 4 movies it would take a heck of a lot of time and be probably longer than Lord of the Rings.The only good thing was that the person who played Ged was nice…..Totally unrelated but meh…….Suppose i can't really say if Eva Green will be good 4 Serafina, cuz i only saw her in Kingdom of Heaven, and that, apparently, was a misleading acting job.
i think eva green will be a good serafina. for anyone to judge her acting ability/credibilities, check kingdom of heaven (director's cut), the dreamers and arsene lupin. as far as i can say, she's good but i still have to see her in casino royale, the way they're building up the vesper lynd character being a non-mediocre bond girl. as for the hair issue, in my most honest opinion, i think she should retain the dark hair (honestly, haven't seen her blonde but it's her real hair color) as it gives her more intensity and enhances her face and facial expressions more.
I agree with whoever said Rachel Weisz, I think she is an absolutely fantastic actress and she looks kinda witchy too 😉 🙂

Eva Green will be a wonderful Serafina. Eva has such an enchanting look and is a fabulous actor. I can totally see her as the Serafina character.
