Dark Matters Newsletter
Posted on by

BridgeToTheStars.net are (re)launching our His Dark Materials newsletter, Dark Matters. Subscribe and you'll receive a round-up of all the HDM and Philip Pullman news on a monthly basis (going out on the 1st). As news is somewhat slow at the moment, newsletters will go into more detail on that month's news, allowing us to look at events in more depth, from a step back. We will also be syndicating some of Ceres Wunderkind, Enitharmon and others' His Dark Materials fanfiction and showcasing the best of our fanart and site content. If you'd be interested in submitting anything at all for the newsletter, get in touch.

Subscribe.

  3. Alewyn says:

  4. Ian says:

Newsletter. I like subscription emails, it makes me feel wanted.

  5. The Bard says:

No Point, im here everyday anyway.

  6. Will says:

Ah, but 'tisn't just going to be a list of the news from that month. You'll miss out!

  7. The Bard says:

^ What is it going to be then? Pray tell.

  8. Will says:

For a start, "newsletters will go into more detail on that month's news." More like an editorial on that month's news. Then there'll be features on interesting discussions we've had on the boards during that period; highlights of our best fan art and fan fiction, general site happenings etc. etc. Anything interesting I can think of to throw in basically. 🙂 What would make you sign up? I'll win you over yet!

  9. Alewyn says:

If I write something about some piece of news and e-mail it to you, Will, will (uch, basically double word) it be used in the newsletter? If I just feel like writing something, that is. I'm much to lazy to be a full-time contributor…

  10. Will says:

Your opinion on a piece of news, that sort of thing? I had planned to have a mini-sweep through the comments here myself to collect them together. You can certainly submit anything as a one-off thing, I wouldn't expect it to be on the dot every month. PM me on the boards once you've started writing and I'll see if it'd slot in somewhere.

  11. Alewyn says:

    great!

  12. The Bard says:

Awesome, also i would'nt mind being a full time writer…maybe I'll start my own site :wassat:

  13. Kyrie says:

This is like.. so incredible. Its amazing how many people share your interests – all you have to do is look.
News letter: I\'m in! This will be the second online newsletter I subscribe to – after the Mystic Entertainment Warhammer one. So freaking cool…

  14. Kyrie says:

    There – I\'m subscribed. Took about 5 seconds. 🙂

  15. Kyrie says:

Budding webmasters Will? Dang it! I was lucky enough to take a course of C# (the most recent programming language developed by Microsoft) in my senior year of high school. If I get half a chance to continue that in college, I\'m all over it. Now, (if Grace favor me – Lyra\'s grace and any other kind out there) and if I have the brains for it, LOL, I will be at least a successful part-time (if there is such a thing as part-time in this) webmaster/designer. I remember writing an e-mail to Merlyn about this topic (while in the same time expressing my envy for, and liking of, BTTS). Hmm. Why is your link in a foriegn language? :wassat:

  16. Kyrie says:

LOL. Never mind that last question^. I just saw those tiny little flags in the top left corner.

  17. Will says:

Oh, the newsletter script was actually written by a Frenchman. I didn\'t notice the flags there either.. Wasn\'t too fun installing in French. \'Tis a very cute admin panel too if you could see it.
