Why are they leaving her daemon out? Why isn't Kaisa picture here, too?

they're leaving Kaisa out of the movie...
i had such high hopes for it...

Do witches not have daimons in the movies? Isn't that kind of a big thing to leave out? Why wasn't I aware of this previously??

Maybe they are just trying to distance the witches from the humans but NOT showing a daemon for her. Then again, people who would need clarifying would not have read the book, and so probably wouldn't fully understand the daemon concept anyhow. And it's not as if her being suspended in mid-air doesn't already eliminate her status as a human...

We'll have to wait and see, I guess...

I'm sure they're keeping Kaisa a suprise or something. Bec ause he is shown on a wallpaper on the website, and in the book The World of the Golden Compass they mention him and even show a small picture of him from above.
He most definitely is in this movie, surely.

Well since witches' daemons don't have to be around their humans all the time and can travel quite far, this doesn't surprise me. Maybe they haven't decided yet whether to have Kaisa in the movie or not.

Phew, thanks for that Gabzie. I'd hate to see Kaisa disappear - I'd hate for them to decide witches don't have daemons cos it'd spoil the shock of finding out what's happening at Bolvangar and also in light of what we learn about how witches become witches (in TAS).

i adore her bow and arrow, i want one .. i wonder if theyll do any prop replicas or anything ...

maybe they'll introduce Kaisa when lyra finds the trapped deamons-and then he explains what a witches deamon is like...i dunno-just a thougt..

i think its great they dont make them ride broomsticks or anything-that would just ruin the originality of the book.

Her dress is awesome, so much so that it ALMOST makes up for the hair color and cloud pine branch changes.

it distresses me u all get so miserable about things like hair colour and material wahtsits - wehn waht atchee matters while we watch the film is that theyve caught the CHARACTERS PERSONALITY properly ..

I think its to add emphasis to how far a witch's daemon can travel - like into non existance :-S

she's one of my favourite characters, as well as Lee. I pictured her differently, but oh well.

does it really matter is kaisa isn't in the film, so what if witches don't have daemons they have magic and bow and arrows that shoot dust so they can kill them. They shouldn't need a daemon if they have all that stuff. So what if websites and books have the daemon kaisa, it would just mean more special effects on the film and there's already enough special effects, no point in adding more.
