I love that monkey, not the trailer's monkey. Why do they are not the same?

I can excuse Mr Coulter having straw bolnde hair when she looks like Nicole. The character I formed in my mind looked very much like her. A Hard, cold yet beautiful look.

dno bout evry1 else but i ahd ALWAYS ahd kidman for coulter . ever since i first started reading the books back in 2000 !! especially after seeing 'the others', i think kidman is coulter unbelievably perfectly .
the spyfly annoys me, such a small part of the film shudnt be seen everywhere ..
another thing that intrigues me is the magisterial court - the main massive building in london u can see in this poster . it seemed to have early futuristic designs in original trailers but now theyve favoured a more old-style architecture for it .. which i think is good tho . i wonder how theyll portray the magisterium in the films, espesh since theyre spposed t be about lyra . hmmmmmm xx

How come the monkey doesn't have a name?

according to the bbc radio production, mrs coulters daemon is called Ozymandias, and he speaks in that. however, in the books i think pullman wished it to remain nameless and voiceless to perhaps emphasise the savage animal that the golden monkey is; possibly the most hateful being within the trilogy in fact ! i hate it . i love coulter . her daemons evil tho .

I agree John 2 the mystery of the Golden Monkeys name is apt- after all Mrs.Coulter's first name is a mystery until the end of the 1st book - I think nhicole will do the character justice - her hair may be different but it's a small glitch compared to how well she is suited to it. not long to wait now =D

they should of made her have black hair..a lighter colured hair gives the illusion thats she nicer, seriously imagine her with black hair..then shes mrs coulter. jeez, kidman ..couldn't you afford a darker shade for one film.. (swears violently at teh kidman) but she is perfect for the part.

i think she holds this stupid bug all the time for promotional work, because people might want to know what it is and what it does, so they watch the film.
