My mum and dad are holding a major car boot sale this weekend, and so I had to sort out all of my old Beanos. There was nostalgia everywhere...started collecting in 2000 and stopped in 2006. Seriously, I spent the whole morning categorising a mess of comics into yearly piles. I just realise now how much I loved it. I used to get really upset if I missed a week. Les Pretend! The Bash Street Kids! Calamity James! The Numskulls! Roger the Dodger! Ivy the Terrible! Did anyone else here read the best British comic ever made?
(The Dandy smells.)

I read it sometimes when I was really really young, like... the Ninetees... and i remember those comics. I have no idea what happened to my copies though.
Maybe i should look into picking up the odd copy sometimes.
Why do you want to get rid of them?

I've kept back the ones I want to keep e.g. my first Beano, etc, but as there are well over 200 they were starting the clutter up the place, and room for them was running out in the attic. Do you think I should've kept them?

I dunno, I would've probably kept them or tried to sell them if they were actually worth something significant, but i don't think i'd want to sell them for pennies at a car boot sale.I've kept back the ones I want to keep e.g. my first Beano, etc, but as there are well over 200 they were starting the clutter up the place, and room for them was running out in the attic. Ah, the Beano. I used to get the Beano and the Dandy every week. And I used to get the annuals every year and buy the old ones down at the Barras. I was really into them. It was a sort of escapism for me, not the best time of my life. Good memories.

Very much so. While I stopped reading them a few years ago, I've kept them all. =)

Wow, nobody still gets them?... My brother got them ordered when he was, like, 8...Hes now 22, Im 15 and I still get them. They are just a silly thing to read, on Wednesday morning, before school. They are so good, still.
I guess we never got round to cancelling them.

Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling?
