Postby Brutillus » Tue Jun 01, 2004 1:14 pm

I suppose we all came from Africa orginally, but I think of myself as Irish-American. what continent did your folks come from or have you been living in one place for a few thousand years?

Isn't it funny how nobody ever describes themselves as English-American or British-American even though that's where the original settlers came from!

My ethnic stock is likely the result of North Britain being raped and pillaged by half a dozen cultures.

W.A.S.P. doesn't sound appealing.

What's puzzling me is Brutillus' impression that Zanibar is a continent.

of course I know Zanzibar isn't really a continent, but it was put on the poll as a choice for those who feel unsure of their origins, secretive, or just plain wierd.

Europe. I'm Scots-Irish, (or maybe just plain Irish...we aren't really sure) French, German, and Russian/Jewish.

It would be scary if he came on the boards. I'm not sure if I'd agree with that...

It would be scary if he came on the boards. I'm not sure if I'd agree with that, purly because I was born on another continant even though I'm British through and through.

I'd be ~*iguana*~ terrified if he came on the boards, he's dead.

Rape and pillage for me too.

I can honestly say that I don't have a ~*iguana*~ clue. British for a few generations, sure, with a bit of South American and Jewish thrown in for good measure.

Poorest gorbels of Glasgow, greenest outskirts of Leeds, lushest fields of county Kerry and er... Hull and Surrey. Though I myself am North London born and a veteran Hertfordshirite. I've been around.
