Lyra is a girl
Discovers the ruthless plot
Destiny has warped

daemons are not pets
But a manifested soul
Mine just changed its shape

The daemon changes.
From bird to leopard, and back
Trying to settle.

(yeah, okay, that was lame, but haikus ain't my thing... just wanted to answer to call for creativity).

Poems don't have to rhyme to be good! But isn't rhyming poetry usually translated so it rhymes in the language it's translated into? Kind of changes the meaning, but I think that's generally how it's done? Translating poetry is not fun. :( I can't imagine trying to translate it so it rhymes. Way too hard.

here's a haiku:

daemon severing
pain races through my body
now we are apart
okay, that was depressing here's another:

little red fruit tastes
like the sun, moon and stars, all
shining inside me
heehee....
FIGMENT.

"The horror, the horror!"

Angels fight the dark;
In a glade of dappled light
Two children grow up.
Does it matter if it's self-raising?
