i think this mulefa is really sweet
the feet are really good and life like and also have a lot of detail !!!

we all know john can't handle criticism, move on! i think this is the only mulefa drawing were the mulefa is actually drawn correctly. legs fore- and - aft, remember? good job, john. work on the anger management.

I think that you've done really well with your Mulefa drawings, even if I imagine them differently. And I love your way of drawing lineart, I wish I could do it that cleanly. I really wish people would stop picking the anatomy of these guys to peices though....if you think that you can do better do! Its hard, trust me.

And if you work out a way to draw them without them seeming to have a central spine let me know :P

This is really good. I like how it has a sort of meaness in him although i wouldnt call it evil. The mulefa were protective and mary was scared of them. I think your logic is right on this one!

I don't recall them having horns, or being evil. Not the best in my opinion.

To quote Amy, who has done the grunt-work and found the horn refferences:
" "They were roughly the same size as the grazing creatures, but leaner and gray-coloured, with horned heads and short trunks like elephants'."
Later on in the book: "Mulefa couples, for example, on entering marriage, would exchange strips of bright copper which were bent around the base of one of their horns with much the same meaning as a wedding ring." "
And another quote:
"...she was also a little anxious, for their horns looked formidably sharp..."

It ugly, and scary, I'm scared.
