Yep. me too. Just how I imagined it (though the book says it's shorter...). And the look of Lyra being a 'pretty pet', as Pan says, is portrayed really well here. Lyra's hair is supposed to be a little darker, though...

Great! just how I pictured lyra! she looks really good with the bright colours, but since its a while since I read northern lights, was pan ever a skunk? I think so but can't remember...

to Pan: skunks can be referred to as "polecats". But I think the term polecat applies to many weasel-like critters.

Love this scene,you are so much better at watercolor than I am. One criticism: Mrs. Coulter is around 30, she looks 17 here.

Lyra looks really great in this one! so does coulter. i agree with the others about her hair.

i love the watercolour! I like the monkey too. If you look at my monkey in the coulter section, it looks like a pikachu *sob*

to the artist: are you, perhaps, french/italian?I like how you show lyra's hand in a contorted pose, portraying the tension.

to glittercloud, or anybody!!!: have some self-confidence, every piece furthers your ability and helps it to grow! yeah i suppose, my dad says i have a really low selfasteem but when i did try my best mrs coulter (the present last one) everyone said she was too old so i've kinda given up

i think it's just her first drawing...maybe she first intended just a picture of mrs c, but then it went wrong so she rubbed it out and then did this one. Yet the picture never really went. I love it still. I think it's good, the background picture shows her anger and power

I love their dresses. Their much like i imagined them although now in the filming pictures, dakotas double is running down the street in a victorian like dress. I prefer this on though :)

Yes, the daemons look to fat and Mrs.Coulter seems to young. Also Lyra's hair should be darker. Other than that, it's nice.
Oh- I don't like the picture in the back.

Iove mrs coulter in your pic, Lyra's good to but she reminds me a little of alice in wounderland.
