Is that a dying witch from first book?

i think its by the lake, when mrs coulter tricks the witch and the spectre eats her daemon (am i right?) in the subtle knife.

u have a special talent for these kind of pencil sketches Lune! how do u get ur lineart that clean? its amazing-mine would b all messy! Anyhoo, i think u definatly accomplished somthing with this drawing- its a very strong visualisation of the pain and torment felt by the witch.Unlike ur other drawings, this one really gets to the core of the scene and the emotional turmoil contained. Everything about the witches stance, her postition on the ground, helps to show wot she is feeling and how she is struggling so helplessly. The fall of her hair is very accurate too, according to where her head is. However, i think u could have drawn the daemon a little better, and made the spectre a little more visible-if u can't c it, u can't really tell wot scene this is.
The place of Mrs Coulter in this one is very well portryed and drawn. She really invokes a sense of fear, apprehension at how she can b so indifferent at sumone dying at her feet. While i think her outfit is perfect, however, u need to work on the hands and her stature- i think she would b a little mre imposing 4 this scene. i think she looks a bit strange because shes not actually looking at thw witch, just staring into thin air, so u can't really tell wot shes focusing on.

Well she's staring at the witch,but you can't see that because I wanted to make that clear by setting the patch on her eyes in a different position,but you can't really see that. And you're right: I really need to work on the hands of 'my' characters. They're just very difficult for me.
