omg this is beautiful! gorgeous lineart ♥
this piece has a certain feel to it.. i can't quite pinpoint it, but it makes you stop and stare and pore over the details. The pencilwork is typically strong and bold, with an almost art-nouveau-flow to it; i'm reminded of the beautiful religious pencil drawings of the amazing artist Sulamith W??lfung- perfect for the madonna-esque Mrs Coulter and her allegiance with the Magisterium. I love her dark, intent, detached stare and glamourous status hair- perfectly set off by the dress....the dress (!) i love it! Clear and intricate all at once, the robe is beaitfully tudor- so suited to Mrs Coulter! You could maybe have shaded it a bit more to add depth and drama, but i think that would have corrupted the detailing. Her clasp is a bit weak too- the hands look a bit vague, and i think the money should be more evil.
However, stunning lineart: not in the polished way, but i like the rough passion in this piece: it's perfect to simply stay as a sketch, which is a rare thing.
The only thing: the background. It's a bit grey and meaningless, even with the Magisterium symbol. To be honest i think this piece would be better off without it : it takes away from the drama of the main drawing and makes Coulter's presense less pronounced.
Still, lovely art, and i love the title and conflict in this draiwng :)

Wow
Stunning
The attention to detail is amazing
I love when all this attention and effort is put into the fanart for HDM. It really make it worthwhile
Beautiful Job!

Thanks so much for all your comments! Eva, I agree with you, the background is something that didn't work out the way I hoped it would. It's supposed to be the zeppelin(is that a word in English?). Thanks for your lovely detailed comment, I really appreciate that. I've recently discovered this new way of drawing; the drawing of many details in clothing. And it's certainly possible that it gives you an Art-Nouveauish feel, because I adore Art-Nouveau and especially Mucha and Klimt.

This is amazing! I agree with the comments about her coat, lovely detail- it must have taken hours! You've really got Marisa just as I imagined her- her posture and face- AMAZING. the monkey is really good too, you've made him look real but still fit in with your style of drawing. I also agree with your background comments- the two figures look like they were drawn by an amazing proffesional artist, and the background looks like an amateur drawing. Still, this is amazing- keep drawing! I want to see more of your work!
