For those of you who haven’t yet entered our May Haiku Contest, there are still 2 days left to get your haikus in!

This month’s prize is a signed copy of the new British edition of Northern Lights (The Golden Compass). In the first book of our much-loved trilogy, Lyra hears about snow, armoured bears, the Aurora Borealis…and is enchanted. To enter, all you have to do is write a haiku about The Idea of the North. A haiku is a short poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five. The haiku judged the best will win the prize.

Send your entry to contest@bridgetothestars.net, with the subject line “May Haiku” by 11:59pm GMT on the 22nd of May. The contest is open to everyone except BTTS staff members. Only one entry per person is allowed and the winner will be announced on Tuesday. Good luck!
