A promotional video for The Golden Compass has hit the web today. Something of a proto-trailer, the video is a mixture of completed live-action footage and as-yet unfinished effects work. It features all of the major stars from the upcoming film and reveals numerous scenes for the first time. It’s the most complete footage yet available by far, but it should be stressed that this is not the finished article. You can view it below. OMG I cannot believe its only a few months away, I’ve read those books every year since they came out I’m so so so excited it looks absolutley incredible!

The music from the first half is Gustav Holst’s “Mars” theme, from the “Planets” suite.
Everything looks great, just one proplem here though. I’m worried that seeing as they’ve given it the American title the characters will speak with american accents. I know this isn’t a major problem but it would be great if they could at least try an Oxford accent.
I have read all three books, I always wished that a movie would be made. Yowza, it happened. December hurry and get here.

When are the auditions i am going to try out. they are almost definatley open auditions. i know this cos chris the director said so in an interview.
