Brendon from Filmick film blog, who first alerted sraffies of First Look footage, reports, “I have been reliably informed… that two weeks of reshoots for The Golden Compass began yesterday. And, yep, that could indeed be a decent slice of the film.” Rest assured that reshoots are not uncommon in film production, but keep an eye on our news page for more information. Read more.

i like the idea of film makers tht make blogs……..
Everbody makes blogs nowadays. I’m glad they’re not hesitating to reach perfection on this film. I hope that’s what they’re doing, it all depends on what’s being changed. I think it will be great though!
They had to add the part where Lyra eats a Kit Kat bar for an advertising tie-in.
It’s probably effects related stuff (green screen stuff)…as they edit the film together they realize they need to reshoot some stuff or shoot some new scenes since the green screen stuff doesn’t really come together until it’s composited. It’s quite normal…all the Star Wars prequel movies and the Lord of the Rings movies had reshoots.
