MTV have posted the third part of their Q & A with director Chris Weitz – you can read it here. This time ’round, Weitz is asked about the casting of Eva Green as Serafina Pekkela, the possibility of open auditions for Will Parry and his favourite scene, which he says is between Lyra and Mrs Coulter at Bolvangar.
Weitz also attempts to ease fans’ fears that the movie is simply a “special effects” movie, rather than a movie focusing on the story. He says, “the effects needed to blend seamlessly with the human actors and it was their job to aid in the telling of the story of Lyra, rather than to compensate for any lack of story.”
