IGN have posted numerous storyboards and concept art from The Golden Compass. The storyboards go through several scenes, including Lyra and Mrs Coulter in her apartment, Lyra meeting Serafina onboard the Nooderlicht and the Silver Guillotine at Bolvangar. Go to IGN to view the images.
So I see, they mention kaisa, but the scene of kaise is done by serafina. I like it. But hope that kaisa appears in the movie!

John, we’ve known that for quite some time, Billy Costa is Tony Makarios in the film. It’s really not a significant change when you think of it — actually, I loved Tony as a character but I am very much behind this change. It makes a lot of sense within the emotional arc of the storyline.
