    YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYY

although i knew about the book of dust,
I though it was only short stories about second characters *3*
    THIS IS GREEEAT
    i want it already

but i guess there will not be Will :crying:

  2. the truth says:

wasn't the book of dust supposed to come out YEARS ago?

  3. drano says:

I think we're going to see Will again, well, let's hope!

  4. Alewyn says:

"Don't. You'll never make it. You'll never earn a living. Get a decent job and forget all about it. It's a silly idea. There's no future in it."

    God I love him.

  5. Tarantinoand says:

Just listen to the word; sequel…. :wassat: I need it!

  6. LemuelG says:

"It's going to be a long book." 🙂

  7. Silverfist says:

    NEW BOOK!?!?!?!?! gimmegimmegimme!!!!!!!

  8. bball_brilliant says:

Phillip Pullman is kinda discouraging. he makes it sound like writing is a waste of time. he used to be my heroe. but i wonder wut the sequal will be called? I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!

  9. ramsraid says:

Wait why wont there be a Will. he still has the pieces to the knife and 1 specter per hole to another world is nothing. 😉 Will is my favorite character, if hes not in the sequal i might lose it! :crying:

  10. Penguin_Factory says:

I don't think people should be getting their hopes up for an actual sequel. The most likely scenario here is that he referred to the Book of Dust as a sequel because he didn't want to bother explaining it.

Although on the other hand, why would he not just say "I'm working on the Book of Dust"? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Personally, I don't think HDM needs a sequel. The characters have already killed God. What could possibly top that?

  11. Witch-girl says:

    *swoons anyway*

  12. minstrelinthegallery says:

bball_brilliant: That's what they told Pullman when he started out and look how it's turned out for him! It kept his feet on the ground and he's telling us to do the same.

  13. Witch-girl says:

    *swoons entirely*

  14. bball_brilliant says:

i guess u r right, but still. If im wrong correct me but doesnt it say they need to build the republic of heaven?

  15. silvertongue says:

i dont think i can wait for the movie & the book much longer !! grrr !!

  16. Lizzietiffon01 says:

    god Phillip Pullman rocks! 🙂

  17. mogglemoose says:

    i agree 🙂

  18. Witch-girl says:

*Does a little bit of the "PP's Writing Yet Another Great Novel" dance*

  19. bball_brilliant says:

although the book of dust would explain a lot i wanted to know, id much rather he made a 4th HDM chapter

  20. Reedie_Belacqua says:

    he rocks *.*

  21. abz says:

yea, phillip rocks but when will the book be published????

  22. drama queen says:

i am back from iceland 🙂 i went there on holiday!!!!
i don't care what pp says,
"no don't, there is no future," and all tht
i am becoming an author as i have good ideas
    abz,
i don't know when it will be published but sounds like a long time because it took toliken 16 years to write the lotr

  23. Aesahaettr11 says:

The question is, though, is he referring to TBOD or HDM4. He says its pretty long, and I heard somewhere that TBOD was only 50-100 pages. Let's cross our fingers!! (I'm hoping for HDM4)

  24. mogglemoose says:

me 2! PHILIP PULLMAN, IF YOU ARE READING THIS, I THINK YOU SHOULD INCLUDE A GIRL WITH RED HAIR AND VERY LIKE LYRA! A character like her would ROCK! My friend would be a book character! AWESOME – she'd love that – and she's VERY adventurous!!! 😉

  25. bball_brilliant says:

Ya that would b nice. i think he needs to write and HDM4 because i dont think the end of the trilogy makes no sense, "What do we do now?"
    "Build the Republic of Heaven."
come on how do they do it. and wut happenes to will later on besides living with mary?!?! Someone PLEASE explain.

  26. Real says:

honestly i have not heard of the book of dust until very recently, however i have read a very short story about lyra.. perhaps the book of dust will provide some comic relife to the sad ending of amber spyglass.. will and lyra reunited? only time will tell..
anyone have any idea on the release date?

  27. Randomness says:

i would like more closher on will 🙂 😉

  28. Teus says:

yeah there must be something about the "Republic of Heaven"

……. what on earth is closher? :wassat:
