Adam Godley played the titular role in BBC Radio 4's Saturday Play this week – Dr Glas, by Hjalmar Soderberg. Godley is to play Lyra's daemon, Pantalaimon, in The Golden Compass film, so it's a good chance to sample his voice. Jim Carter, who is playing Lord Faa, is also in the play.
