He will be speaking on Strangeness & Charm, the fundamental particles of narrative, and explore the art and science of writing. Dr David Roberts, Registrar of the University, said: “We are delighted to welcome back Philip Pullman to the University. He is a brilliant writer, but also an inspiring lecturer who is passionate about education. This is a unique opportunity to hear a leading author explain his work.” Read more.

I love how he always gets out and does things like this, it shows that he actually cares about his fans and fellow writers.
Question of the Day: Which of the HDM actors are famous in the UK (Nicole Kidman doesn't count)
Well, to be fair, it's not for his fans 😛 Far more a favour to the university.
In answer to your question, a lot of the adult actors are fairly well known in the UK.
bollocks, i was going to go to Bangor, but i went to newcastle instead. oh well.
IanG-
True, it is for the university, and there's still a lot of respect for him in that manner.
Thanks for answering!
I probably should know this, but my geography is useless: where is Bangor University? :wassat:
Bangor's my university, I didn't manage to actually go to the lecture because I didn't know it was on until after it had started, but I did get a book signed by him and shook his hand 😀
And, is the answer Daniel Craig? :p
