I'm desperately hoping my old copy of NL isn't a first edition – because I gave it to my aunt!
Oh I know mine isn't. It's the newbie version. I like it though…
I have two copies of it – a nice, shiny one, and the one I gave my aunt. And if it IS a first edition, then bad luck for me, cause it's got some ripped pages, and one of my friends changed the 'L' on 'Lyra' to a 'K' a few times. SO it's probably worth nothing at all.
It's surprising it actually got onto that list, considering it was printed in 1995 as a mass-market paperback (correct me if I'm wrong), while most of the others were printed in the first half of the 20th century, and many were privatley printed.
In any case, I know mine isn't worth that: I bought it 2 months ago. 🙂
It refers to the hardback edition.
I don\'t know about TGC, Northern Lights for you brits, but I have a First American Edition, autographed, hardcover copy of The Amber Spyglass. That should be worth something in ten or more years, yes?….. My other two books are first addition paper-backs, but I wouldn\'t sell them anyway.
What the?!? What\'s with the new comments arangement? You won\'t be able to carry on conversation threads this way!!!
*whistles*
YAY FOR HDM!
At least SOMEONE appreciates the true value of HDM!
besides US, that is.
got all 3 first editions signed 🙂
Wow.. £4,000… Mine isn't worth that much… I got them a few weeks ago! But… it shouldn't matter how much it's worth should it? It's the story that counts, or am I just being soppy? 🙂
huh??? :wassat:
