Has anyone else noticed how they have designed the daemons to have the same eyes as their humans? I noticed this when I saw Stelmaria, who has the same stunning, icy blue eyes as Daniel Craig. I think this is perfect!

I noticed that when the golden monkey captured roger?Ǭ¥s daemon, it had the same eyes as mrs. coulter's when she was surveying fra pavel on the trailer.

I do believe that would be trees behind him. Technicoloured trees. I think DC's an inspiringly casted Asriel, he's not as you would have first imagined him here though. The first scene of the novel has him unkept from his adventures, however I can see him like this after a good grooming :)

Yeah, he does look a little old in this one... his eyes also look like there not focusing well either. Hey, I found something out the other day that I didn't know before. I was reading the rough guide to HDM and it says at the begining of the books Asriel is in his sixties and is old enough to be Mrs Coulters father!!! Thank god that is just in the books although that kinda ruins some of my image of him :(

Yeah, they are gonna put them at the begining of the first film to make "a better cliffhanger". Honestly, what better cliffhanger would there be other than seeing Lyra cross the bridge to the stars leading to another world? This also means we won't meet Will until we are like a quarter of the way throught he film!!! Grrrrr.... maddness boiling...

You never know they might change all that as well...

Yeah, to be honest I think that the the Christians and Cathlolics are being really petty about this. I mean nothing in the books ever actually outrightly denounced the Christian/Catholic faith, "The Church" was just used as a sort of template for the bad guys of the story and PP has stated this on numerous occassions but they just won't have it. If they are so outraged by the film then why don't they just not see it? I mean I sincerely doubt that people who see the film are going to suddenly have a deep hatred for the Christian/Catholic religion and apparently from what we have already seen, and what many people have discussed, is that a lot of the religious elements have been stripped from the film anyway. So what is their problem? They havn't even seen anything of the film yet so how can they judge? My advise to them would be to if they are so hot headed about the film then do not watch it. There is no point being so stupid and boycotting a film judged on a few underlinements in a fictional book (and a bloody good one at that!!!)

but the point is that its saying that wat they believe is rong, they seem to have completely cut religeon out of the film, so i dont know how theyre going to make the other films cos thats wat theyre all about

So, you mean that the whole trilogy is about religion ?

yea, mostly,cos religion is like all that type of stuff, its peoples ways of explaining the unknown with physics and stuff

Hmm, you got a point...I don't really think that the whole Trilogy has to do with religion, but I'm sure that it's a big part of it.

The story is about Lyra and Lyra growing up, well thats what I think anyway but yes religion is a big factor in the books.
