Movie Images | Location Filming: Oxford | Stuffed Daemons

This photograph from Kim clearly shows several stuffed animals - presumably to be used for daemons in crowd shots, or to serve as visual placeholders for actors. There are more in the plastic bags to the left - and is that a rodent daemon on the right? There also seem to be some green-screen props hanging up nearby.

Daemons look great! Especially the leopard-y one. Except I had the impression the book said Stelmaria was white, but maybe that's just how I imagined her...I should read the books yet again.

No aurora I imagined Stelmaria as a white lepord too :o well they'll obviously graphicise it, maybe make her white?

Maybe it's not Stelmaria? Because there's a concept art of Lord Asriel leaving Jordan with a white leopard following him. They know what they're doing.

stelmaria is a snow lepoard, Snow leapoards arent white, theyre called that because they live in snowy regions and because they are a slightly lighter colour than other lepoards

Snow leopards ARE white. It's just that their fur at its darkest is a bit yellowish. So they didn't go wrong if that's Stelmaria there, though I did imagine she'd be white too.

Love the snow leopard (Stelmaria) :) . I just wonder how they're going to film shots with her since the stuffed animal is probably stiff? Unless its also a robot and they can get it to move around like a real animal. This daemon is probs gonna be used for shots at a distance.

I thought she was white, too. I thought they were gonna put the daemons in later during special effects. They're good for crowd shots, though.

Is it a real leopard pelt? If it is, it must be so old, as they're endangered now :( Which is such a shame, as they are beautiful animals.
