We didn't get it as bad but Dublin is white and extremely cold and I believe Northern Ireland (Where Olivia is if she is not in Uni) got covered as well as you can see in that epic pic so don't feel bad. Dublin is covered by cloud too so you can't even see that I'm waving.

for those who have never lived a full year up north, a 12 hour timelapse video taken from a webcam in finland, split into winter/summer side-by-side. i think it's really cool!

(if you're easily bored, skip to 16:00, 01.30, 08.00, but it's more effective if you sit through it and experience the totality of a day, keeping the lengths of light/dark in mind)

just watched that storm again, alex. it is truly fantastic. it's like it's eating the world!
also, time lapse vids are super-cool. so you do get an hour or two of light during the winter! your streets look like winnipeg weather transplanted into suburban montreal, on the left.
