Hi, everyone!
I am an eighteen year old girl from Norway, and I first read the trilogy after my mum gave The Golden Compass to me for Christmas the year I was eleven. I fell instantly in love with the books and proceeded to read them again and again and again as the years passed. I hadn't read them for many years now, but after a project in Norwegian class I decided to brush the dust off them and read them again, and I was thrilled to discover that I still find them just as good, exciting, heart-warming, inspirational and guiding as I did when I was eleven. His Dark Materials and the themes therein helped me tremendously through the years of adolescence, and shaped how I look on the world. Needless to say, I am very glad o discover that The Republic of Heaven already exists, online

Re: Hello there!
Also welcome to the forum. I visited your country many years ago and what stood out was how well everybody spoke English. Norway owns Svalbard, but unfortunately in our world, there are no armoured bears.

Hello Magnhild! Welcome to the forum!
What did you do for your project? (Was the project on the books, or just inspired you to reread them?)
