Wolfenstein 3-D (gave me nightmares as a child but first pc game I owned)
Doom
Halo 2
America's Army (late high school nights)
Quake
Counter Strike
God of War
Tanarus

Does this make me violent?

We were meant to be, I think. But technically, we're still growing up so can get away with more recent games :P
Final Fantasy VIII
Interesting choice, I seem to find that not many prefer VIII over VII/IX. That was my first FF game I played though, I got it at a car boot sale along with the guidebook for £5.

Anyway.... I've never actually owned my own games console until yesterday (yay PS2), but played on my brother's/dad's consoles over the years. And I don't know quite how well this list will keep to ten things :P

Sonic (mostly the gamegear version, Sonic 2, Sonic Adventure 1&2) - GameGear / MegaDrive / Dreamcast
Streets of Rage - MegaDrive
Various Atari games that I can't remember the names of.
Spyro 1-3 - PS1
Final Fantasy games VII/VIII/IX - PS1 (only just got a PS2, looking forward to starting FFX, which I've just got secondhand, and want to start VI at some point when I get around to it)
Theme Hospital/Theme Park World (PC)

Can't think of any more, but I'm sure there must be one or two.
