Waiting is for suckers.

Europe gets Mario Kart earlier than the U.S but we are going to get shafted on Smash Bros. June at the earliest, mark my words!

Edit: That box needs more use of the word "Wii"...

Maybe a big 'WII!' in that white space in the middle would do it...
Hush, the babies are sleeping, the farmers, the fishers, the tradesmen and pensioners, cobbler, schoolteacher, postman and publican, the undertaker and the fancy woman, drunkard, dressmaker, preacher, policeman, the webfoot cocklewomen and the tidy wives. Young girls lie bedded soft or glide in their dreams, with rings and trousseaux, bridesmaided by glowworms down the aisles of the organplaying wood.

£9.99...I don't have one yet. There may be issues with disc based system updates although the makers say it will work around them as long as you don't accept to update. I'd hold off for the moment until more solid info comes out.

Pit rules.

I've seen my boyfriend for half an hour today, while we ate dinner. Pretty much all he and the rest of the guys talked about was this game. They left after eating to keep playing and I stayed behind because I know they're going to be at it forever and I need to go to class in the morning. It's very painful because I want to play and everything they say makes me want to play more but no I'm responsible.

So I'm sulking now.

Next day edit: Wario's my favorite new character I think. Sonic and Pit are fun but difficult to control. I nearly lost control of my character laughing when the crowd started cheering for Ike - I'll let you figure that one out if you haven't already.

Freeloader works for the U.S version of Smash.

Also the U.S version of No More Heroes if anyone preferes blood to not blood.

That game is the most messed-up work of anything I've ever seen. And that counts certain corners of literature and modern art.

Went through all the two-person event matches on easy today, and half of them on normal... didn't feel like working too hard after my chem lab, you see.

I would say half the fun is flaunting that the game's out here to the people who aren't dedicated enough to cheat on the release date. Except it's Brawl, so it's way more fun than that ;)

Introducing Patricia to the game (she hasn't liked Smash since 64 btw), and she's playing against Sonic:
"I don't know how to defeat your spherical speediness of doom!"

I'm really enjoying this game. And it's not a double-post because there were several days in between and I already edited my last post once.

Ganondorf's Tower is all about the double posts.

I ordered my Freeloader today and a copy of the U.S Smash Bros. Going to buy No More Heroes on my way home from work too. :D

Has anyone been playing Smash online? Does it suffer from lag? Do you get your ass kicked? :P

I've heard that online matches have a tendency to cut out when you aren't using friend codes. But I don't have the game so i wouldn't know :(

It cuts out and lags occasionally. Not too bad though. Mostly the hard part is finding competitors. I would say I am about average compared to other people, some are ridiculously good though.

Toon Link is my favorite character I think. Sonic doesn't have enough kick, sadly.

My Freeloader finally arrived from playasia today. Booted up Brawl before I went to work just to check it out and it seems my t.v no longer wants to be in colour for U.S games. I played the U.S version of Resi 4 on the Gamecube no problem on it. pos t.v.

Anyone know if I can hook my Wii up to my monitor?

Yes this is SSBB related, but it's still possibly for (im)mature audiences only.
Spoiler:
Today after game night we were going through the fun options in the game, including the "sound test" options, in which you can listen to every sound in the game, including everything each character says during a battle. Either Nintendo is as bad as Disney, or they just rather unfortunately arranged some of the sounds, because certain combinations elicited some very immature giggling amongst the people in the room. Good examples of this include Peach (try sound effects 16-21), Zelda (14-25), and Link.
We're going to hell for this.
