I really enjoyed it, though yes it was short - it was only about 45 minutes long. It's done with a full cast, just like all the other audio books. The only thing I found disconcerting was a vague reference to the other stuff the book came with at the beginning of the audiobook since I didn't have access to anything that would have normally come with it. It made me go huh? for a second or two, but then it started in on the story of Lyra and the Birds. I suppose a good comparison I could make would be if there were a regular weekly audio/radio series based on His Dark Materials, this audiobook would be one episode of it. If I remember right, it had the same actress playing Lyra in this one as in the other books so the transition was an easy one too.May I ask what you thought of the audiobook?
