Wahoo i'm the first person to comment! This has just bin added-hasn't it? You are reaLLY good at doing face and capturing emotions! I think that most of the time Serafina is sad, and only sometimes lets it out-great job with the moarning, soooooooooo sad picture! This gave me a lonely, unhappy buzz as soon as i got onto it. Although I think you got the feel of Serafina right, I don't think you got her appearence right- I imagined more wild looking with blonde hair adorned wiv flowers and dressed in rags of black silk. I also thought that Kaisa should be bigger and totally white.Sorry, you don't really care what I think do you ? Hello everybody, thanks ever so much for your comments! I got the idea for this drawing from a thumbnail on the cover of The Magical Worlds of Philip Pullman, by David Colbert. It's actually a digitally altered snippet of a famous painting. I looked at it and said " Wow! That's Serafina!". Unfortunately, my vision is downright incorrect, but utterly cemented in my head. Yes, the face is too rosy, and too round.*cringes* The goose looks small because he is in the distance, and yes, I forgot the flowers.

wow pretty good..... but ive always imagined the cloud pine branches to be a ghostly white,but everyone to their own , i guess. really like her though, she is captured quite well and is kind of how i imagined her, i like it!!

^ First time i saw this it jumped out and i really like it- it looked classical- the colouring and shading made it look like a painting. It doesn't matter all the time about the face too round etc its the tone and mood that really is wondeful! (and hard to create!)

I am looking back at this picture and watching my skills progressively grow. I don't really like this one any more! Ah well.

my only critisism is that witches hold the branches above them, and sort of dangle, (reread chapter 10: the consil and the bear)
