I like it very much! Especially the alethiomether. Where did you EVER find the patience to draw like that? Amazing.

i decided i wanted t make a scrapbook of all things HDM...
and this is the first page ! :D lol the photos i did of Lyra wer jus prelimenary stuff... so hopefully im gna take loooooads nd mekk it like a photoalbum of chapters? lol :D
only thing i hate bout this is that it aint a good circle . damn .

thats a gr8 idea! this is just spectacular in a a jumbled, rich kinda way. i love it! it reminds me of the outstanding colleges that Claire did ages ago of different parts of the book. quite a lot like that, but still inspired. once again, brilliant- i look forward for the next one :P

I absolutely don't mind that 'it's not a perfect circle.' It's beautiful just beacause it isn't perfect!

oh yes . also also also, i drew this with the intention of it looking quite... scraggly? i always imagined it to luk a little scrambled together by odd bits and pieces, but with hidden symbolism... the movie alethiometer luks a little too... intricate? id rather it be a clumsy old assortment of pieces, powered by universal consciousness ;)
also if u luk closely the arrows are numbered, and stretched out versions of 1, 2, and 3... also i did try to make certain aspects of it different... the drawings on the outside arent jus plain drawings, theyre almost like little individual photos of each diff. thing... or summing . lol nvm :P

That is wonderful! I love the way it looks like a schematic.

I love all the jotted notes. It really shows that it normally takes a lifetime to master the technique of interpreting the Alethiometer. And the Alethiometer is spectacular. This picture is so wonderfully cluttered!!!! It's absolutely perfect!

I really like the scrapbook feeling. Also (your mentioning it up there reminded me) Pullman has made a small mistake in HDM- it's not alethea; its alethia (well that's how it's pronunced).
