ok this pic probably needs some explanations .
mulefa are diamond-framed creatures . this means, that looking down on them, you see their backbone shaped as a diamond, or kite, with appendages on each corner of that shape.
this means, that certain adaptations WE ahve, thanks to the spine, like the symettry of our faces, does not apply .
to be completely fair, these creatures shouldnt really have heads at all ... but somehow managed to evolve them like that.. so we hit a couple a paradoxes here - they cant ahve a tail, and cant rele ahve a head.
but, should a head evolve, there would be no symmetry! thus, ive drawn the ears in a straight line as oppose to on each side of the head. evolution meant these ears can be rotated, but the difference in height is crucial for good hearing.. id imagine .
the eyes... should by rights be shaped the same way as the ears, vertically over the head. i decided this wud simply be TOO WEIRD and freaky.. looks freaky enough as it is, eh .
also its worth noting that the way the wheels are used is thanks to a spur on the inside of each fore and aft leg.. if there can be an 'inside' of these legs, i dont know. regardless, these spurs fit through the hole in the pods...
this hole, however, i dont believe goes the whole way through. the hole is where the seeds wer attached to the trees - a nook i sppose, wher the spurs fit perfectly so as to allow good wheeling all over the country. i imagine the seeds as... red blood cell shaped things.. yeah?
i sppose mulefa are mammals, too - much like elephants or boars, as a lot of people suppose. their backs are described as being like big squashy cushions, and they ahve tusks... how, i dno .
anyway
rant over, its back to watching jeremy kyle...

Very interesting explanation John2. Even though I see them differently I can see where you are coming from...very clever ideas. And I still love your drawing style. All round, an awesome zalif!

cool! definitely not how I imagined it though. I thought of it as more like those purple ones back there.

I especially like the extremities. The way you drew the claws gives a great impression of something mysterious and alien.
