oh wow..... it is beautiful! it does give off a really mysterious effect about Lyra and she also looks older and sly aswell as mature. i like the hair and the dress is a little victorian but is really beautiful and adds to the picture perfectly! I love it !!!!!

I like the way you put this whole thing together, is it airbrushed or done on the computer? the glass is BEAUTIFULLY done, as well as pan. I love the dress, somehow i cannot picture lyra without knowing what she is wearing.the patches are perfect for her semi-street urchin lifestyle. Her hair is a tad bit wacky for my taste, but it is still lovely, with the way you used the light so well. and especially, i LOVE her hand!!! (the one on the table).you have some real talent, i would love to see your renderings of some other characters!!!

thanks for all your great comments. I'm very flattered. To answer the questions some of you asked, it's a pencil drawing scanned in and coloured in photoshop. As for the hair, i imagine it to be real poofy and badly cut. As for the dress, i thought the clothing in Lyra's world to be somewhat more exotic. I wanted it to be elegant but still scraggily, as Lyra is herself.

This is GREAT! I love her facial expression! It's almost as if she's half listening to Pan chastising her about dilly dallying in the dining room, although she is really just enjoying the exploring. I love the mischeivious air! Is this before or after she sees the glass of wine being poisoned? I notice the glass, but I'm still not sure! GREAT WORK!!!
