this IS impressive!!! i luv the way u concentrated on the emotions in the scene, instead of what it's actually got to look like. So many people take that forgranted! The way u blended the vivid colours to make a cloudy swirl of passion (not again nightshade!) is really eyecatching! u took great care with this one, i can tell, instead of just splodging a few colours on at random. The colour choices could show what Lyra is feeling herself: the mauve red could be love, the green anger, etc, a great storm of her intense mixed emotions. i love Lyras hair! The subtle tones in her hair are beautiful! Pan looks so small and helpless and sorrowful and it breaks my heart to see the way Lyra is reaching desperatly 4 him! Even though u can't see her face u can tell the terrible heartache she is going through! This is a beautiful and powerful work of pastels and hits u with the force of its emotion contained.

i've just noticed-Lyras clutching her heart in agony! So sad! You can clerly see the wrench of emotions betweeen them!

Thanks for the comments. This is done in pastel. mostly I used my fingers, though! :P I dunno if you can tell, but that brown mass below Lyra isn't the jetty-it's her skirt. Thanks again!

Wow! I REALLY love how her other hand is clutching her middle. That really shows the agony the two are feeling at this point. I wish I could be this good at pastels. (Although I know what you mean about mostly using you fingers!)
