it's rather good, yes. what am i saying? it's great, but the floswingess of the picture sort of annoys em. it seems as if everythign should be still, if your not going 2 put the picture in a realistic setting. i love mrs. coulter's clothes, but the monkey seems a little.... expressionless. good work, though!

I didn't want to picture them in an too realistic setting. I didn't want to do that,at all. Because of the fact that I wanted to portrait them in an art-nouveau setting,and that isn't realistic,always idealising,kind of a fairytale,and I didn't want to ruin that by putting too realistic things in it.

Beautifully elegant in design and concept: it would ruin the pic by putting in a realistic background. Also, excellant take on noveau-it's a real hard style to get right! And because the frame design and composition is basic, the pic becomes all the more striking. i love the simplicity of it, and the deep, strong colours. The lineart itself is very good, and i love Coulter's clothes and interlocking hair. it was a thoughtful touch to do the monkeys hair in the same way, though u could have used different colours on him, instead of just orange. Lyra's hands are still a little off, though u have definately improved in drawing them :) Overall, i love the whole idea behind this unique pic- that Mrs Coulter did have periods of care and motherhood in the cave, and that part of the time she realised what a terrible parent she had been, and i think u have portrayed that very eloquently!

hmmm.... i think i like it. their hair reminds me of an octopuss, but coulter's profile is lovely. i also like the colour of their clothes, but why do they have buckles around their throught? r u danish?

I love how this picture brings out the tender side of Ms. Coulter, which is rarely shown. The picture shows such emotion, and is drawn very well. I love it. GREAT JOB!
