If you are an adult can your daemon be a baby animal, like a kitten or puppy? :?

Lennie Small from 'Of Mice and Men' would probably have a baby rabbit!

*claps* welcome back, rg!

I doubt that an adult's dæmon would be a baby animal. If the person never "grew up," their dæmon wouldn't have settled in the first place, and there are plenty of forms that represent playfulness or other "childlike" traits that are adult animals.
*sigh* Well, at least you tried.

But if before a person is mature, he would be castratet then will his dæmon ever get a fast form?
Like the choireboys they were castratet so there voise wouldnt change, becose they didnt get mature.

Who knows? Presumably they wouldn't go through adolescence, so their dæmon would never settle. I've just noticed the subtle use of that word there - settle. It's a good thing, settling down and not being so restless. So teenagers do it? Right...

hmm... i think the settling of one's dæmon is caused by a mental/spiritual maturation, not a physical one. even though someone who was castrated wouldn't go through puberty, they'd still become an adult mentally, so their dæmon would settle.

If you don't go through puberty, do you become an adult mentally? Tough one... I don't think we can answer it.

That's a tough one. I bet there's been some psychological study done on it, though -- it's just a matter of finding it.

i know there are peopel who have a disease who never mature or go through puberty, but their minds are the minds of whatever age they are
so i think it has more to do with mental maturity

I'm assuming its different hormones etc that make you mature physically and mentally.. because you get those people who look old, but still have a young mental age. Presumably it would work the other way round too..

Honestly,
I think physical maturity has to have something to do with it, because if it was just mental/emotional many adults wouldn't have settled dæmons but some kids and teens would.

That's true. Another possibility is that the kind of maturity that matters for dæmons settling is a maturity of mental structure, not content. There's a kind of maturity that comes from having your own set personality, even though society might not consider your actions mature.

That makes more sense than all the definitions I've been supplied with so far Daniel, how'd you come up with it?

Having dæmons might have something to do with it too....
