If you could retitle the books...

Postby Ursae Majoris » Fri May 19, 2006 4:38 am

I've been doing a lot of digging through old threads lately and noticed that there has been a lot of inconclusive debate regarding the title of the first book. After reading several of these (and getting involved in one myself) I had an idea:

If you could retitle any of the books (not just TGC/NL), what would you name them?

I don't think I would, apart from making sure that NL was refered to as such and not TGC. I like the names of the books.

I meant for it to be a hypothetical question, current titles aside, what else could be a good title for them. For example, I was thinking that an alternate title for TGC/NL might be Betrayal.

I like Tower of Angels as an alternative title for TSK. Actually the name of this site would be a pretty cool title for NL, now that I think about it.

Bridge to the Stars or The Republic of Heaven?

I agree that Tower of Angels is a good name but The Subtle Knife is just as good. I'm not really bothered.

Bridge to the Stars. The Republic of Heaven would probably be more appropriate for TAS.

I like the current titles just fine, but we are talking hypothetically. :)

I think "The Republic of Heaven" would have been a good title for the trilogy.

How about Oblivion or Into the Abyss for TAS? I really like The Bridge to the Stars for NL.

Since you're here, what do you think of The City in the Lights for TSK?
