You can't possibly expect me to narrow it down to five, can you? I do like the look of your list, though.

Changed. It can be as many as you want now!

EDIT - That's also the first time I've been complimented on my musical taste, mostly because my friends require the band to be dead or split up to be good.

I love Ben Folds Five to death, but for some reason I wouldn't consider them a Top Band Ever. :]

They're best known for Born Slippy from the Trainspotting soundtrack, but that's far from being their best work, IMO. It's like everyone says Bolero when you mention Maurice Ravel, but that's daft when you think of Daphnis and Chloe or Le Tombeau de Couperin or Ma Mere L'Oye.

Basically, Underword do techno / trance. The big difference between them and everyone else who does techno / trance is the vocals by Karl Hyde. I strongly recommend their first album, dubnobasswithmyheadman.

Amazon.co.uk review:

Although Leftfield's Leftism may take the title of best album by a British dance artist, the debut LP from Underworld was a sublime collage of lush textures and insistent beats which displayed the kind of dynamic ambition which has made their live shows so exciting. The daft-yet-heartfelt vocals of Karl Hyde drift amongst Rick Smith's controlled guitar and Darren Emerson's mesmerising drum patters, an intoxicating blend on tracks such as "Mmm...Skyscraper", "I Love You" and "Cowgirl". "Tongue", meanwhile, shows a gentler, warmer side to the band, as Hyde's tones wrap themselves lovingly around subtle chords, while the lush melodies and uplifiting ambience of "M.E." provide a worthy finale. The rarest of things: a varied, emotional dance album that doesn't sacrifice authenticity for innovation. --Ed Potton

Uh...King Prawn'll do...'bout the only band I know of. Oh the guy in the flat above us lent me his Jeff Buckley album, though. It was as bland and uninspiring as I felt it inevitably would turn out to be. Damn youngsters and their rock and rolling <.< Am I the only one who preferred the Rufus Wainwright cover of Hallelujah?
Andrew Marr is one of many public figures somewhat bizarrely alleged by conspiracy theorist David Icke to be a shape-shifting reptilian.
