<\/a>Filming for The Golden Compass movie is taking place around Oxford this week. The Randolph Hotel<\/a> and the Pitt Rivers<\/a> museum are tipped as locations; Carl says that film crews have been setting up in Exeter College<\/a> – Philip Pullman's old haunt and the inspiration for Jordan – whilst Dgel has a more in-depth <\/a>sighting: “extras \/ actors in costume – people in academic gowns, soldiers in dark grey military uniforms – is this the movie on location?”<\/p>\n

Photos<\/b>: We've divided photos into two galleries for now. There's one for actors in costume – which at this moment consists of Nicole Kidman, who was snapped arriving blonde haired and clad in a fur-edged coat. The other is of photographs of the film crews at work in Oxford. Kim has scored us some great close-up photos of filming – include a shot of stuffed daemons – whilst another Sraffie took some more general photos of the filming.
