More Japanese toilet-ness:

And finally:
A Whole New World

I like the Richard Feynman lectures. I can't link them as YouTube is blocked in work.

Talking kitty!

NB: The above bbcode was created specifically for this thread. Using it elsewhere is discouraged and liable to removal by the moderation team (we like a YouTube thread, but don't want a YouTube forum). If you can figure out how it works, you may use it here, otherwise just post the links and the mods will edit the code for you.

Edit: As a result of concerns regarding the hardware strain multiple youtube embeds place on our computers, there's going to be a policy of only one youtube tag per post (this isn't an excuse to double-post). Additional videos must be placed as links.

i looked it up basically because i heard alfonso cuaron worked on it and i am currently engaged in a love affair with his reading list. i only know naomi klein's work because she was interviewed by one of the campus newspapers (that tends to, or tries to, go for the radical) and apparently has received a lot of criticism from right-wingers? <shrugs> free market, ehh. i wasn't particularly interested to pick up a book on economics but cuaron's recommendations have never failed me. but i'll have to read more before i know anything.

i discovered the european graduate school, which looks like the coolest school that i won't be applying to next year. more importantly, they keep a youtube channel for their public lectures which i discovered searching slavoj zizek. this playlist is six parts of a michael hardt lecture on love (and its sketchy power structure things), which is perfect for valentine's day.
how can love function as a political concept, why love, the proper and improper ways love has functioned politically, love as activism, and evil and its relationship to love.
*formatting my own

so yea. michael hardt is the coauthor of a book called empire (with antonio negri) which is supposedly the communist manifesto for the 21st century. or something. i've only read a chapter of it but basically capitalism=evil, and stuff. but love, love love...
