this thread seemed pretty popular in the temp forum so i thought i might introduce it again.
feel free to rave on about immense gigs, tours or concerts that you've been to, or slate them if they're rubbish.
ask if so and so are any good live.
etc. etc.
so i'll start, anyone seen the zutons? i'm thinking of seeing them in march. worth it or not?

Wonderfully convenient that you'd create this thread. I'm seeing the Zutons tomorrow at Earl's Court in London - they're supporting Muse.

I want to see Franz Ferdinand live really, really badly. I hope they come to Philly or Harrisburg this coming year.

and I have to resort to listening to the concert on xfm
I saw them around this time last year though, very good were Muse although they were supported by crap bands (elbow and some other unknown) and I don't rate the zutons highly...

Well, I missed Green Day, they came through Portland last month, but I was busy with midterms, of course.

BAH! You guys have it easy. England's tiny - if your favourite band is playing in another part of the country, it's not exactly difficult to get there (I know public transport is terrible, excuses excuses
).
Most bands play quite a few shows in England.. if I lived there I'd follow them around to every venue. When you live in Perth, though, the only way you can go to another show (if they come to Perth at all, that is), is if you spend $500 on a plane ticket to Adelaide.. or more for the East Coast..
You guys have it
easy. EASY.

I forced him to go.
The ticket I just posted wasn't his, by the way, just some random one in someone's sig on the Muse forum..

My housemates were at Muse last night.
You're in for a treat, by all accounts.
I can't afford gigs at the moment, which depresses me hugely. Scissor Sisters' Hallowe'en gig at Brixton was vair good though.

yup, the zutons aren't my favourites, but a couple of their songs are really good, and i need to see somebody, and the tickets are available, so...
ah, franz ferdinand would be ace! but i don't think they're doing any gigs soon, well they're not on the gigandtours website, and that's where i usually look.

Bill Bailey aka man that looks like a Klingon if he interlinks his fingers and puts them on his head? That guy rocks! So funny in "Black Books" (appeared in "Spaced") and that sci-fi quiz show that didn't last long...

There's a streaming of it, but I can't be bothered staying up, I'll just download it later (I'm sure it'll be up somewhere). Plus I think it's going to be a new live DVD like Hullabaloo.
