Some poems

I decided to post some poems - YAY! Hope you all enjoy them.
Clockwise (10-4-07; revised from 5-28-07)
You said “I’ve never been on one,â€
I said “Someday I’ll take you.â€
Now here we are together,
Inhaling the Milky Way,
And watching the as silver mist
Lightly drifts out from our lips.
We cannot see the world below us.
Twelve O’ Clock is our only chance to be
Just you and me.
You said “Tonight was so much fun,â€
I said “I thought so too.â€
And here we are together,
Convincing the night to stay,
And stopping clocks to grant our wish
Though the sun will soon resist.
We cannot see the world ahead of us.
Twelve O’ Clock is our only chance to be
Just you and me.
I Like to Pretend it's Infinite (1-25-07)
Last week I let out a breath I'd been holding
and watched him travel skyward,
in the foreground of evergreens,
painted shades of gray. And there he met a snowflake...
"Won't this whisper stay," said she,
"to dance in the winter wind with me?"
and he replied: "I must kindly decline,
For I have not the time
This existence of mine shall not last long,
I'm just a sigh, I'm not a song."
