Anymore news on this Rik?
There has been a bit of news. First of all, I am proud to say the film is complete and that it has turned out terrific. Much better than even we had hoped.
Also, we will be in Los Angeles next week to talk to some distributors who have shown some interested in seeing the film and talking about it.
All in all an exciting time for us, but a very boring one in terms of any real news.

Sounds very exciting! I certainly hope you'll be at the Edinburgh Film Festival! Keep us posted on distribution progress and premiere news and so on, so that we can get it up on the homepage. We have, after all, endorsed you

I just sincerely hope - if this is true - that you will soon find some distributor...

Hi Guys,
It's been a while, but I have returned for a little encore
.
Do not despair. Though no distribution deal has been signed yet we are in some very, very exciting talks. Obviously, any and all statements regarding this could only hurt at the moment. So I have to be a pain and not say anymore. Festival submissions had to be pushed back a bit due to some technical delays. After our short break to catch our breath all that has now started moving again.
We just had the cast and crew screening on the 9th at BAFTA in London. I doubt a film will get an audience much more enthusiastic than the guys that made it, but most of the crew was indeed pleasantly surprised by the quality of the final product. There were laughs where we needed them and quite some tears at the end as well. All in all a very promising big screen debut.
One person on the credits in particular liked the film....Philip Pullman. He has said that he enjoyed the film and was impressed by Duncan and Jess (Chris and Jenny). The BAFTA members in attendance were also positive as well as some agents present for cast and crew members. And agents aren't easily impressed...
So no, we are no where near desperate...
(Indie) Films just take a long time to get absolutely right and then another long time to get to a local cinema near you...
Cheers!
Rik

(it's funny, you'd think there might be a uk distribution deal faster since it was technically a local production.)

Thanks for the support guys!
It is exciting to have the film get out there. Don't worry about UK deal, it will come...
*SPOILER*
We are considering launching an e-store to sell the DVD to people in regions where the film is not (readily) available. First we have to see what happens at Cannes though.
