I'm guessing that no sraffies play this game as it's pretty daunting. I watch a lot of the competitive stuff online and I find it really entertaining. I recommend checking out some tournaments if you see them. It can be a really fun chess game once you get to know some of the characters, units and tactics. E-Sports is experiencing a really nice boom at the moment. Starcraft 2, Street Fighter 4, Halo Reach, Mortal Kombat, CoD etc. Hopefully the scene can continue.
I play a good bit online too. I'm terrible but when you lose it's your fault.
It's essentially an old school rts game ala command and conquer.

Re: Starcraft 2
I had love affair with the original plus Brood War. It was the story I enjoyed. While I found the story of Starcraft 2 somewhat underwhelming I am certainly going to buy Heart of the Swarm regardless.
I don't generally play RTS online as they are considerably more stressful than other games.

IDIOT, n.
A member of a large and powerful tribe whose influence in human affairs has always been dominant and controlling. The Idiot's activity is not confined to any special field of thought or action, but "pervades and regulates the whole." He has the last word in everything; his decision is unappealable. He sets the fashions and opinion of taste, dictates the limitations of speech and circumscribes conduct with a dead-line.
